Women Alive Spring Retreat Recap

Hope at Mt. Hope

Last month Women Alive hosted over 50 ladies for a time of worship, teaching, and quiet time with God at the absolutely beautiful Mount Hope. We enjoyed delicious food, SO much laughter, and basked in the exquisite mountain serenity as we dove deeper in love with Jesus. God showed up and blew us away!

This year we did something a little different and planned our own retreat led by Vicky Price from start to finish leaning solely on what God laid on our hearts as a planning committee.  Our theme was “Taste & See that the Lord is Good” based on Psalm 34 and boy did we taste some sweet fellowship!

As ladies arrived and were welcomed to the inside atmosphere created by the talented Jackie Vieira. We were SO blessed to have Jen Williamson fly back from Montana to assist Susie Schullerts in leading us in a precious time of worship. It was SO evident that God showed up, especially as Patty Clark led 2 sessions on Psalm 34.  The ladies enjoyed a nature scavenger hunt, an intro to Bible Journaling, painting rocks, and even a walk with God before it got too cold. The Lord spoke so specifically to many and healed hearts all around. This was my first year serving on the retreat planning committee and I have been so humbled to see God work as these precious ladies stepped back and let Him lead. It was INCREDIBLE! The Spirit moved and we had a few ladies come up and testify for the first time what God has done in their lives!  I came away on such a “God High” -the best kind of high there is!

And for those of you that didn’t make it – you were truly missed! Make sure you don’t miss next year’s retreat!!!

Here’s what friends that attended are saying:

The retreat was such a blessing. I really love that Patty spoke about how important it is for us to connect with God to refill, replenish, (and) refresh.  This was my first women’s retreat and I ‘m so blessed to have been a part of it, meeting new women. -Shannon Iacuessa

“I always love coming to retreat. I love the venue, being outside, but most of all I love spending alone time with God. I find it refreshing! This is the one event I don’t volunteer for because it’s my spiritual refill. “-Donna Hottinger

This was my first retreat and I loved ALL of it! I was happy to see that most of the food was gluten-free allowing me to enjoy the wonderful food. I love that all these women came together to form a family seeking, and being blessed by, our own herd. Thank you for all of this! -Sharin Miller

SO Glad I came! God needed me here. I really didn’t want to come, but my friend wanted me to come. I didn’t realize my jug was so empty. I honestly feel refilled. I need to refill more. -Wendy Sweeney

“You can sit anywhere! I like that we only had one verse to focus on this retreat.  Everyone gets accepted here.” -Sandy Shaw

This retreat allowed more time for healing. -Susie Kruse

This is my first time. I am really enjoying myself, I love that it’s not super structured! -Teri Carter
