What is C3?

Campus • Community • Compassion
C3 is our plan to bring financial resources to three areas of our ministry.
- Campus — Remodel and construction on our current church campus.
- Community — the ability to come alongside of existing front-line ministries in our city and help them become stable, thriving and sustainable forces for the Kingdom of God. In addition to this we want to answer the challenge of Pastors exiting the ministry, by raising up next generation leaders and sending them out to pastor here, near and far.
- Compassion — Finding a geographically distant place in the world where we can invest our human and material resources and make a difference for Christ. We desire to develop reciprocal relationships and help to bring a healthy, balanced and sustainable living environment to wherever God leads us to invest.
C3 consists of two phases. Phase I Is the initial stewardship emphasis to raise the needed capital to begin the initiative. Phase II will begin next year and will be the major portion of the stewardship initiative.
When did C3 begin?
C3 has been in the dreaming, planning and praying stage for over two years in the leadership and staff of the church. C3 was first introduced to the Church Body on Sunday, April 18th, 2010 during our two regular morning worship services. It was introduced in two ways; First, the vision piece in a presentation by Pastor Dennis Day, Mike Glaze and Kenn Bishop (audio available below) to lay the purpose and vision of the scope of the C3 initiative and how to get more information. Second, was in the morning sermon, with Pastor Dennis laying out the Biblical value of C3, to spread the gospel…Here, Near, and Far! (audio available below)
In the following two weeks more information was shared (audio available below), leading up to the Pledge and Celebration Dinner on Sunday, May 2nd. The dinner was well attended, and the guest speaker, Ron Lagatta, brought us an inspirational and challenging message that further detailed the importance of C3. After the message Pastor Dennis prayed and invited everyone to come forward and submit their pledge cards. The evening was concluded with worship and praise for what God is and about to do in and through us as a family at Oro Naz.
How has C3 succeeded?
Phase 1 has begun with commitments reaching the $200,000 goal. In the month of May $20,000 came in towards the C3 pledges.
It was determined early on that Phase 1 would run from May 2010 until February 2011 (10 months only), as the initial vision and stewardship initiative time. This would lead us into Phase 2, which will be March 2011 through February 2014 (three years). Stay tuned as C3 updates begin coming in, and hold on for the exiting ride!
