In the Garden

March 25, 2012

Maybe it was because the disciples heard only one thing…that they would all fall away. The rest of what Jesus had to say seems to have escaped their notice. In their fervor to NOT fall away they had not come to grips with the identity of the One who would take Jesus’ life…the Father. In the strangest twist of all the disciples were trying to give their lives for someone who was willing to die! Their pride would not let them embrace the cross that Jesus is now prepared to accept.

Dennis brings us several lessons we can learn from Jesus’ time in the garden of Gethsemane.
