Women Alive

Opportunities and Blessings

Our theme for this year is Personal Healing.  We have all been disappointed, hurt and wounded by life and, therefore, we all need to be healed, in one area or another and to some degree.  But here is the good news- Because of Jesus and His resurrection power healing is possible and we are not stuck where we are.

We have prayerfully put together a schedule that we hope will encourage, educate and fill your needs.  There will be many opportunities for study, connecting with other women, fellowship, prayer and fun.  Your job is to get involved and participate.  Remember that Jesus died to give you an abundant life.  Nothing is impossible with Him (Luke 1:37) and He wants to finish the good work He started in you (Philippians 1:6).

2012 Schedule

First Trimester-Focus: To introduce the subject of healing to women and motivate them to prayerfully consider what, if anything, the subject has to do with them personally.

-Faith Talk:  Saturday, January 14 from 9:00 to Noon.  Topic- Self Worth.  Speaker- Gayle Johansson. ($5.00) This event will provide not only an opportunity to connect with other women, learn and grow, but it will also educate, challenge our faith and make us think intentionally about who we are, where we are and where God wants and needs us to be.

-Waves of Grace: Starts on Tuesday, January 17, 10:00 a.m. in Rm 114 and again at 6:00 p.m.  In this seven week study we will explore the subject of healing and the role it plays in our becoming the women of faith God intended us to be. This study will give you a chance to do life with other women and build relationships, not only with Jesus but also with one another.  (Materials $12.00)

-Strategic Leadership Course: March 4 – April 22.  Presented by Cathy Kingham.  Contact her for more information at 589-1180.

-Life’s Healing Choices: Begins March 6th.  A Rick Warren DVD driven study will be presented by Gayle Johansson.
